Some Related Funding Instruments in South
Africa
The Innovation Fund is aimed at projects of an
innovative nature that will generate new knowledge, and projects that will
be commercially viable at the end of the three year contract. It is
accepted that the Innovation Fund is not suitable for all the innovative
projects born in South Africa.
Besides the Innovation Fund many other funding
mechanisms are available either inside, or outside, the Government Sector.
Below please find a list of potential alternative sources of funding
for innovative, research and development projects.
Please note that the following information is intended
as a service and a directive to the public for possible alternative Funds.
It is not meant to be comprehensive nor an up to date guide on other
Funds. This site will be updated as regularly as possible but the
correctness of information given here cannot be guaranteed.
