The Innovation Fund is but one program under the
National System of Innovation, and aims to evenly spread research
funds, available under the Parliamentary Science Vote, to all players in the
Science, Engineering and Technology arena in South Africa, through
a competitive bidding process.
The
Innovation Fund was established by the National Department of Arts, Culture, Science and
Technology, is directed by the Innovation Fund Trust and managed by the National Research
Foundation (NRF).

what projects had been funded, and what
other funds exist.
